Samsung removed the Smart IPTV app from the store in many countries.

1 Installing the application Smart IPTV on Smart TV. There are 2 ways to install the application, either directly from the LG Store -which is the simplest way- or via a USB Drive for some models. Installing from the LG store: 2 Start Application Start the application, The screenshot below shows Smart IPTV interface.

  1. Extract (unzip) the contents of the following Orsay Widget file to the root of USB drive and insert it to your TV’s USB slot. The SmartIPTV directory should be located in the root of your USB drive. The application will appear on a Samsung Apps screen among other apps. You can also use Sync server IP address to use in developer mode.
  2. The official Smart IPTV Facebook page has been unpublished due to many page clones available. Please consider all other Smart IPTV pages fake from this moment. Please check the application Support section for Frequently Asked Questions. It will be updated with more FAQs soon.
  3. Open download apk file. Click Install button. The application has loaded successfully. You will now see the main menu of Net IpTV Pro. Connect your USB to computer. Open File Explorer on computer. Open This pc folder. Open usb root folder. Paste from root usb folder.
  4. If the app is not on the main screen, use the search feature to find Smart IPTV and download it. Once downloaded, you should find it in the “All Apps” or “Updates” areas of smart devices. Once you have the installer APK, getting it installed to activate the app won't take long.

This means that even if you follow the various guide online, you will not be able to find and download the app when you change countries.

The Smart IPTV company has therefore devised an official alternative method, not complicated but not the easiest, to still have Smart IPTV on their Samsung TV.

How to Install Smart IPTV on SAMSUNG TV

The first thing to do is to format the memory of the USB stick. As indicated in the requirements, an old USB stick will enought, since we will use less than 2mb.

We insert it in the USB port of the PC, we go on COMPUTER, we select the Pendrive and with the right button the USB memory and we click FORMAT…

In the screen that appears we set FAT32 (recommended) or NTFS. We put the check mark in Quick Format and press START.

To simplify things we can also press the Restore device defaults button so that we already have the correct settings.

At this point, we’ll have our Usb Drive ready to put in the tv and install Smart IPTV.

Samsung TVs are divided into two groups, those with Tizen operating system (newer) and those with Non-Tizen.

GUIDE FOR SAMSUNG TIZEN J/K/M/N/Q/R

The Samsung Tizen TV are:

  • 2015 Serie J
  • 2016 Serie K
  • 2017 Serie M
  • 2018 Serie N
  • 2017/2018 Serie Q
  • 2018/2019 Serie R

Removing the USB stick from your PC and inserting it into the Samsung Tizen TV will install Smart IPTV and will appear in My Apps.[/sociallocker]

Note for J-Series: This model tries to automatically update the app, causing it to be deleted from the USB stick. To avoid having to do the whole operation every time you open the Menu, select SmartHub and disable the automatic update of the App.

An alternative to Smart IPTV, but only for Samsung TVs with Tizen Operating System, from 2016 to today, is called Net IPTV or OTT Player.

SS IPTV may be installed from official LG Smart World on this platform, in any country.
The application is not available in Samsung Smart TVs App Store (Smart Hub).
You can run the app via USB stick while the USB stick is inserted into TV.
For Non-Tizen TVs (2012~2015 years of production):
  1. Download the archive: ssiptv_orsay_usb.zip
  2. Unzip the content to the root folder of USB stick.
  3. Insert your USB stick into one of the USB ports on your TV.

This method activates app at the boot time (autostart).

  1. Turn on TV
  2. Turn off TV with ordinary remote controller (IR)
  3. Press buttoni+ / Display (depends on RC)
  4. Press button Mute
  5. Press button Vol+ (volume up)
  6. Turn on TV. Now you should see Hotel/Pro mode settings in progress

  5. Turn off the TV and turn on it. The application should start automatically
